Easter Eggs with Metallic Acrylic Ink

March already??? Where has this year gone? Easter isn't for another few weeks, so now is the perfect time to start doing some fun Easter projects. I know that I have always wanted to blow out some eggs and do some funky designs on them, but have been afraid to! Well when I thought of this project I thought 'PERFECT time to conquer this fear...plus the internet must have tons of methods for doing this'. Guess what? The internet DOES have tons of methods for blowing out eggs, and the first one I tried worked really well. I used this link.

As you can see- I had some success! So how did this happen?
First I blew out ½ dozen eggs. The instructions were pretty good- some of my holes got a bit bigger than I would have liked, but such is life.
I then found some Metallic Acrylic Inks in my stash of art supplies and thought they would be fun to play with. So I used droppers and brushes and even paper towels to squirt, splatter and pat colors onto my eggs.
It was a lot of fun and the colors of these inks are amazing!
I then let them dry in an egg carton and VOILA
Aren't they beautiful? If I want to make them hangable, it's incredibly easy as there are already two holes in them! Otherwise I think they are rather pretty in a bowl.

I hope you enjoyed this blog and please check out the Metallic Inks!
