Brusho Butterflies by Sarah Allan

Hi Everyone!

Sarah here with you today on the blog and I have some cute butterfly cards to share ....

I have used background stamps along with versamark Ink, WOW white embossing powder combined with brusho to create a lovely textured backgrounds.

Then I created some coloured backgrounds with Brusho by spraying some watercolour card and tapping brusho over top and drying off with my heat tool.    These were them used to diecut some layered butterflies as embelishments to complete the cards..

I created two 5 x 7 cards using a Hero Arts background stamp called Crazy Quilts and two 5 x 5 cards using an Impression Obsession background stamp called Ticking.

In the 5x7 cards above I used Moss Green Brusho for the card on the left and then I did a rainbow effect with the card on the right using Red, Orange, Sunset Yellow, Lime Green and Ultramarine by mixing the brusho with water then applying direct to the card with a brush.

For the two 5x5 cards I used Ultramarine (L) and Sandstone (R)

Rainbow

Moss Green

Sandstone

Ultramarine

I hope these cards give you some inspiration for you to used your background stamps, embossing powders and brusho together :)

  2. The cards created with just one brushos colour are amazing and really highlight the shades within the colour - although the rainbow is fantastically funky!
