Easel Calenders with Suzi

Good Day All, Today I'd like to share with you a couple of Easel Calender's I've created, they make a perfect last minute gift, and are so easy to make.  I used lots of Brusho Crystal Colour Powders and Brusho Acrylic Shimmer Mists to create some beautiful papers for my Calender's.

Here's some of the papers I created;

I used 130gsm white cartridge paper sprayed with water and then sprinkled with Brusho Crystal Colour Powders; I add more water and powder until I was happy with the look of the paper then dried it with a heat gun.  I then added more water, and blotted some then dried with the heat gun again to give a mottled effect to my papers.  I then used the Brusho Acrylic Shimmer Mists in Silver, Gold and Bronze to add a metallic shimmer to my papers.

I used some of the papers for my backgrounds, and some I die cut my main images. I chose a cat and a wolf die.

I sponged some black in around the edge of my die cut to add more definition.

To make the Easel Calender, I took two 5 x 7 inch white card blanks, one I cut in half and the other I scored at 2 and one half inches.

This card forms the base of the Calender, so you only need to decorate half of the bottom layer, as the rest will not be seen.

As you can see I added some of the Green paper I'd made, along with some Black Glitter Tape and a Calender tab.

I then took one of the pieces of card I'd cut from the card blank, and used this to make the focal area of the calender.
To finish the Calender I glued this decorated piece of card to the bottom half of the scored side of my base card.  Here's the finished Wolf Calender,

Here's the Cat Calender.

Here's a couple of close ups, hopefully you can see some of the sparkle;

These Calenders are great fun to create, and don't take long, so you can make quite a few in a short space of time.  I made a batch of the sparkly papers so have lots left over for future projects.  I hope you've enjoyed seeing my creative process, that's all from me for now.

This is my last post before Christmas, so I'd like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, and if you don't celebrated Christmas, Happy Holidays.
Peace and Love to you All
Bye for now
