All wrapped up by Rebecca Yoxall

All Wrapped Up

Hey kids, How are you on this fine Friday?
Sharing a small and basic (but perfectly formed) and very useful project today using the wonderful Colourcraft Aztec Metallic Craft Paint. If you are like me and like to give unique and personal gifts but then struggle with the wrapping then this could be for you. I get all in a tangle with tape and much prefer to nestle a present inside a gift bag. So why not make the wrapping just as exciting and unique and totally personal as the gift inside by creating your own design on a brown craft bag. The Pearl Aztec paint has a great coverage for most surfaces and with a beautiful shimmer gives a lovely 'Christmasy' sparkle.

I'll start off by talking you through how I drew my design and created a stencil with which to apply the paint to the bag.
Drawing a Polar bear is so easy! Break it down into shapes.
Add legs and round off the corners
curve the neck and place in the eye, nose and ear.

use this drawing to then cut out a stencil with a craft knife on thicker paper or card.
Once happy with your shape, place the stencil where you want it on the bag.
As I said earlier I used the fabulous Aztec Metallic craft paint in Pearl for my image.
and I applied it using a sponge brush. Dabbing rather than brushing so that the paint doesn't run under the stencil and also gives a little bit of texture.

Remove and let dry.

To complete the design I placed snow in the background by stamping the pearl paint with a cotton bud. And using a black pen I outlined the bear and placed in the features.

This is such a simple design and with the stencil you can create these quickly for numerous recipients. Maybe add a matching gift tag too!

Have a great day. Please do leave a comment and let us know what you think
